After reading the information presented on their SCAM website Ecombeginner.com I decided to follow up with them about contracting them to build me the basic package website ($495.00USD) The state 7- 14 days to make the professional build of the site, stock it with hot selling products and start up your Facebook marketing all while coaching you along the way so once the site is up and running you can profit from it.
I had modest goals for a Shopify site, I wasn’t looking to get rich quick but I did feel this would be a way to bring in some much needed extra cash in this day and age. I don’t have the greatest design skills I tried to play with Shopify myself and just grew fustrated with my design efforts.
Because I’d been reading alot of Shopify marketing info I was targeted with one of their ads on Facebook which lead me to thier site. This seemed like an ideal way for me to get a small site up and running then learn more moving forward, I took a risk much to my regret without proper investigation of these scammers and paid for the project.
Like the two other complaints here, as soon as I paid the communication stops, emails are not returned their “customer service” email does not even deliver your messages all are returned. They send you a link to book a private call with “Mike Dolev” which is in the early morning mine was 4am (I work nights so at least I was already up). The appointment time will come and go….NO coaching call, no apology, no email explaining “oh sorry I was tierd up with business” nothing they simply don’t respond to your emails.
Then suddenly I received an email two weeks after I made my payment, its not even a personalized letter just a form letter they send out to the suckers like me saying basicly. Hey your payment didn’t process because of Stripe and so we haven’t built you a web site yet… we need you to go ahead and “WIRE” us another $495.00 directly into our Australian Bank account before we will start on your site….oh and by the way once we get the second payment of $495.00 we will refund your original $495…..trust us……
Haha I maybe dumb but I’m not stupid….no payment will be sent… and I have file a dispute with Paypal today to get my money returned…. Now I’m just waiting for the threatening letter from them once they discover their Paypal account is frozen.
I bought into this program too and even scheduled a call with Mike early this morning.
I had heard nothing from them and was getting frustrated so when I scheduled the call, the guy, Mike, called late and said he tried me on Skype.
He was very curt and didn’t say anything that helped–he said that they had their payment processor block them from their money so the process has to start all over.
He then asked me, “Do you have $500???” No salesman approach. Just straight up, “Do you have $500??”
I said, “I already gave you that money and you’re asking me for more?”
That’s when he told me of the payment processor issue. Which is probably a lie. He then said he’d send me his PayPal account and when I sent him $497, THEN he would refund the first transaction.
THAT was not okay in my book.
So I did some more research and even though I thought I did research before I purchased the program, I didn’t find anything bad–or maybe I just didn’t look hard enough. Now I’m finding your post.
Mike Dolev and Josh Black are scammers! we purchase a DFY Shopify store and they are the WORST! they deliver a bad looking shop with terrible products selection, bad grammar and leave you ALL ON YOUR OWN!!! No FB ads campaigns, no scaling the ads, no one to talk to..
They promise to take you form $0-$10,000 within 30 days and to give you a working shop up to 14 days. NO such thing!!! maybe in your dreams!
“Satisfaction Is 100% Guaranteed
Your satisfaction is 100% Guaranteed. We will deliver your store to your liking and provide you with EVERYTHING you see here on this page. Our support staff is here for you whenever you need to help with anything. There’s never an ending to the support until you’re completely satisfied and making money.”
“The Iron Clad Action Based Guarantee
If you can’t make money with the stores after following up with our support and working on it with us on it and we can’t make it work for you, we will refund you and send you a $300 check for ‘wasting your time’
Because this is not a get rich quick solution we require you to actually take action and work with us for this guarantee to apply, and it makes sense because I’m sure you are ready to take action. The reason we offer it is because we are confident that you will be satisfied and we want to help you feel more safe, with this guarantee there’s literally nothing to lose.”
YOU HAVE EVERYTHING TO LOSE!!!!
So many lies within a few sentences – nothing here is TRUE! not a single word!
They were so nice and reply to all our questions, until we paid, from that minute on they become wicked. They don’t care about you, as soon they get your money, you will never hear from them again. I would NOT recommend anyone to get the DFY Shopify store of Mike Dolev and Josh Black.
A friend has been following Josh and Mike for a bit and suggested purchasing the DFY Shopify.
After several weeks of back and forth emails with someone with limited English skills we became suspicious. We then found another person on Facebook who was experiencing similar issues, non-delivery, long wait time for emails, inability to communicate directly with the seller after repeated requests. We were finally given a user name and pass word to a store that was for lack of a better word, crappy.
The design was terrible, the products were random, AND we’d asked for a General Store and what was created was niche specific.
The product descriptions were imported from Aliexpress, there was no product research, optimization…total rubbish. We must admit, we were in disbelieve, as we’ve been working on our own store since December.
It does take a lot of work, which we were more than willing to take on. We just needed some fine tuning, guidance from “experts”. None of this was received.
We think the most difficult part after the initial realization that the DFY offered was not going to happen is the amount of time spent getting a refund which was boldly stated on the sales page. Lesson learned: use Google to vet the seller, use your credit card to pay for anything. Paypal doesn’t work for you but your credit card company does.
It was just after Christmas and I received an email to join a webinar for a “Shopify – Done for You offer”. I’d looked at Shopify but had a lot going on so what they were offering ( I chose the half price $497 package) seemed like a great way to begin. The webinar was a little rough but this guy was a young kid and young kids seem to have the upper hand on all things eCommerce and social media – who hasn’t heard of Evan Spiegel????
Well, Evan Spiegel he is not. Firstly Josh Black isn’t his real name. Its Yosef Kaye. Secondly, we now suspect he flits around different countries to avoid prosecution. Thailand??? Always a good place to hide.
The product is pure c***. The “store” I received was the template that Shopify provide for free. No Theme. No list of niches to choose from. No custom logo. No high end products. No PDF containing all their research of my products – which, by the way, were imported from a free app called Oberlo. Would you buy an item from a store with a description copied verbatim from a Chinese seller (grammar errors included) showing stock of 44,770 and shipping time of 4 weeks??? I think not. I wouldn’t either. My complaints were ignored then a couple of responses from “Sanny” who I guess was being paid $2 per hour as a VA as his sign- ins to my store were from the Philippine.
Not quite the “expert staff” they mentioned……
My – obvious- request for a refund was met with an extremely curt message from Mike Dolev ( also not his real name which is Yair Dolev) rude, arrogant and dismissive.First time in almost 2 months I had heard from him or Black.
It obviously means nothing to these young kids that they are taking peoples hard earned money and NOT proving the product or service that they promise to provide. Their money back plus $300 of ads if you’re not happy is not worth the paper it is written on. When I try to log in to my “store” now, I get a log in page for “Annies Anthology” and also for “Trendy Friendly” among others… if these are the names of your stores, then watch out…. they are being free and easy with your information.
The conclusion would be to STAY AWAY. These guys have been reported to Paypal. Complaints have been filed with IC3 and the Federal Trade Commission. Reports have been filed with the FBI and also with the IRS in the US. Immigration and Customs Enforcement have also been notified and we are in the process of contacting the relevant authorities in Sydney Australia, Thailand and in Israel. All of the fake names have been passed over including photographs and all the addresses they use. Their is an attorney looking into a class action lawsuit against them. They will not get away with this. I hope they are waiting for the knock on their door. Its coming.
In this video I give a bad review for Mike Dolev’s DFY Shopify service, which I really regret. Many internet marketers today lure you in with some sort of “100% satisfaction guarantee” and a good price for a nice service, though the service part may be ultimately lacking.
What started out well with some helpful webinars turned out badly when my requests getting started with Dolev’s program with basically ignored.
I had already put dozens of hours into my own store that I wanted to improve and they built me an entirely NEW store with some products that my wife found were NOT popular.
To boot, when I noticed the store was NOT like the one I wanted it modeled it after (even in terms of shipping times), I was told NOT to worry because all would be dropshipped from the USA. To the contrary, when I investigated, I found that ALL of them shipped from CHINA.
So, no, not 4-5 days free shipping, but even up to FORTY days processing and (free) shipping. Four to five day shipping rates were obviously astronomical, but what burned me up was the obvious LIE or INCOMPETENCE on the part of this service that I was “GUARANTEED” to be happy with. Of course the numerous times I told Mike Dolev and his team I was NOT satisfied, I got a lot of hemming an hawing about how I needed to “work with them”.
The truth is that I worked with them enough and I wanted the guarantee he was announcing from the rooftops BEFORE he sold me the bill of goods.
So, unfortunately, i have now needed to dispute the charge since I was not given what was promised.
The store was not sent according to my needs and I don’t have time to keep starting from scratch but even more importantly I don’t have the TRUST to continue in a business relationship when what I am being told is manifestly not true.
So, though I empathize with Mr Dolev who seems to have a lot of talent and did not want to leave him a bad review the dozen plus times I have had to deal with this whole Shopify situation prove he is not listening to me and only wanted people to sign up never to cancel, even if his shopify program was not all what his client asked for.
This is why I have to leave Mike Dolev a bad review and recommend it as a no buy because I definitely sense a lack of sincerity and no real commitment to owning up to making things right when his team has made mistakes.
